ACCSC Professional Development Conference
September 17 – 19, 2014 | Denver, Colorado

ACCSC is Working...and can’t wait to tell you about this year’s Key Note Speaker at the 8th annual Professional Development Conference.

But we can’t tell you everything yet.

ACCSC has asked the mikeroweWORKS Foundation to share the Keynote Address in Denver, Colorado for the 2014 PDC!*

For those of you who are unfamiliar, the mikeroweWORKS Foundation was created by the one and only, Mike Rowe. He has testified before Congress about the changing perceptions and opportunities for skilled trade workers. He is one of the leading voices on strengthening the country’s relationship with technical work and the widening skills gap. His foundation has awarded over $3 million collectively in scholarships to students pursuing a career in skilled trades, including scholarships to ACCSC-accredited institutions.  And if that isn’t enough, Mike Rowe is also the creator and host of “Dirty Jobs” on Discovery Channel and the new show “Somebody’s Gotta Do It” coming to CNN!

ACCSC and the mikeroweWORKS Foundation are both organizations dedicated to promoting enhanced opportunities for students through quality career oriented education.

For more information and to register for the 2014 PDC, visit the conference website.

*Mike Rowe's appearance at the PDC is tentative and is based on television production scheduling.

This year's program of events offers a diverse array of training opportunities for the ACCSC membership. In 2014, the PDC program is designed around four Focus Areas:

  • Trends and Innovations in Higher Education
  • Career and Student Services
  • Faculty and Staff Development
  • Best Practices in Accreditation

But the PDC is so much more than just training. The PDC is all about community. It provides an opportunity for the membership to hear directly from the leadership of the Accrediting Commission on the latest initiatives and activities impacting the sector, and a forum to celebrate the success of high-performing institutions and dedicated individuals.
