Accreditation Workshop
The accreditation process begins with attendance at an Accreditation Workshop where the Commission provides training and resources which will assist schools as they strive towards a meaningful self-evaluation and on-site evaluation experience. Schools currently accredited by ACCSC will be assigned to an Accreditation Workshop based upon their scheduled renewal date. Initial applicants may elect to attend any of ACCSC’s Accreditation Workshops to fulfill this requirement. According to the Standards of Accreditation, "the full-time, on-site director or appropriate management team representative (see Section I (A)(1)(a), Substantive Standards, Standards of Accreditation) of the school must attend an accreditation workshop prior to the submission of the application for accreditation.
The Accreditation Workshop provides an opportunity for participants gain a better understanding of the Commission’s standards and procedures, as well as to share experiences with other schools that will be undergoing renewal of accreditation.

ACCSC recently launched a new electronic initiative for our Accreditation Workshops. Representatives from the membership that will be attending the March 25-26, 2010 Accreditation Workshop in Arlington, Virginia for the purpose of seeking renewal of accreditation are encouraged to access the Accreditation Workbook and the Accreditation Workshop Slides prior to the workshop.
Please note that electronic workshop materials are PASSWORD protected and have been designated for the use by accredited member schools that have registered for the Accreditation Workshop. For a copy of the password, please contact Kerry Lambert at klambert@accsc.org.
Below are links to the Accreditation Workbook information as well as the workshop slides. Since the files are very large, participants may elect to print a portion of these files or to download the files to their laptop for use at the Accreditation Workshop.
Hard copies of the training materials will NOT be provided on-site at the workshop for the renewal of accreditation workshop.

**Please note that the electronic materials are provided to attendees who are attending the Renewal of Accreditation sessions. Individuals attending the Initial Applicant sessions will continue to receive hard copies of the materials when you arrive on-site.
